Does SFO have direct flights to LAS now or do you still have to connect via LAX?

To answer your question, I can confirm the above, even if you were without status you may still be given luggage allowance for whatever reasoning. I made a redemption from a non elite QF account (LAX - SFO) and was given an allowance of 2 pieces per pax.
