This can depend on what airlines/sectors/classes you are flying.
In one week last year I earned 780TPs in BAEC. I've gone through the flights recently and I'd have earned 47k EQPs if I'd credited to AA. So, very broadly speaking, that week got me just over half way to renewing BA Gold but it could have instead got me half-way to AA EXP.
