I think you've misunderstood my point.

Every part of your £130 ticket is non-refundable - except for the £13 APD. When you cancel, you get the £13 back (and lose £117).

If, however, you rang up to cancel within 24 hours, the base fare part of the £130 is still refundable - less the cancellation fee. Let's say the base fare was £70, witth the remaining £60 being the various taxes, fees, APD, and any other add-ons you selected (baggage, priority seat, etc). In this scenario - cancelling within 24 hours - you would get £40 back (the £70 base fare, less the £30 cancellation fee), and you would also get the APD of £13 back, for a total refund of £53 (you lose £77 in this example).

The taxes/charges (other than APD) are never refunded; the APD (or equivalent, in those countries that have an equivalent - and not all countries do) is always refunded.

The additional paid items (baggage, priority) - if you chose any - are never refunded. These are discretionary - so you would be advised holding off paying for any extras until just before the flight, or until you know you definitely will be travelling.

The base fare can only be refunded if cancelled within 24 hours - and in this case, becomes subject to a £30 cancellation fee. If the base fare was less than £30, I guess that this just means no refund (other than APD).

Once 24 hours have passed from the time of booking, you lose everything except APD.
