I am at the airport again waiting for my delayed flight so decided to take a look...

I fly this route almost weekly and I have not once been on Southwest Flight 4501 from LAX to SLC with it being on time. I decided to check the statistics for the flight on Southwest and this is what I found...

% Ontime Arrival 38.5%
% > 30 Minutes Late 38.4%
% Cancellations 7.6%
Average Delay 34.7 Minutes

I was unlucky enough to be on one of the 7.6% Cancellations which wasn't due to weather or any uncontrollable circumstance...it was the crew timing out.

Am I wrong in thinking that Southwest clearly should not have scheduled a flight like this.

I'm sorry but 38.5% ontime arrivals...That's an F!

Is there some sort of quality control that they do when scheduling flights?
