I very much like the sound of this MH deal CDG-AKL.
However around the same time (November) , I also need to be in the US (East Coast area).
I would rather not trek back to Europe and thought I could perhaps do something clever via LAX or somewhere else on the West coast.
However the Matrix is not being kind to me and is throwing up some very scary prices, particularly on OneWorld. I don't mind doing US first and then AKL, but that doesn't seem to have much impact on prices.
Ideas on a postcard would be most welcome (forum posts also accepted !

Doesn't QF have the ability to fly from JFK to somewhere like YVR inside North America and on to Australia? unable to check exactly or what the fare would be as I am typing this from a work meeting! but think the intra-North America flight in J on QF is regarded as excellent although only available to those continuing ex-Nth America to somewhere else...
