I hope you can help answer my question.

With an unusual work schedule this year and enormous support from Edwin being creative with my travel plans (no TP runs), it looks like I'm going to get to 5,000 points this year having only been a Silver before.

(If you want I can run a thread of 'my path to CCR'! I'm enjoying the First lounge and on my first flight after becoming Gold the CSM found me and congratulated me which was lovely.)

My plan is a dream holiday with my family next year to Africa and I'd like to fly them first class.

I just wanted to clarify what I can do:

1. BA says I would normally need 600,000 Avios for a family of 4 in First
2. The GGL Joker will give me better availability of seats
3. Using a GUF2 at the same time will remove the need for one Avios seat, so I will only need 450,000 Avios

Is this correct? If so I'll use my other GUF 2 and spare Avios for a trip with my wife but I'll only have about 600,000 Avios in total.

If I get to 6000 points (and I might) I get a 3rd GUF 2, can I use that at the same time for the family booking?
