I took a US Airways flight from DCA-CLT on Friday and upon landing a police escorted Dunbar Armored truck pulled up to the plane cargo hold anticipating the offload of some valuable cargo. They were adjusting some restraining floor straps in the truck, so I am guessing whatever was coming out was on a pallet. We had to deplane before I got to see what it was. Any ideas? Pallets of cash? Maybe I have watched too many armored truck heist movies, but it made me wonder if the airline has any obligation to disclose the cargo that is traveling on your flight. It would seem to put passengers at a higher risk of potential hijacking.
