Not if you're transiting airside to another non-Schengen flight. But it looks like the OP won't be able to do this unless he travels with carry-on baggage only.

And in response to Flying Lawyer - I'm sure that as a regular user you won't find FRA confusing because you know the place and you know where you are going. (I find AMS easy, yet I've heard people say it's not). As an occasional user of FRA I must say that sign-posting could definitely do with improving. One particular problem is the lack of signs telling you to turn left or right. You're following signs to your gate, or wherever else you're going... and suddenly there aren't any more signs to where you want to go. So you retrace your steps to the last sign you saw, and you try again... same result. On the third attempt you just happen to look left or right as you walk across an intersection... and there, about 100 metres down the aisle you're about to cross, is that sign to your gate that you've been looking for. So - yes, I would agree with those who find FRA difficult to navigate.
