So, what i meant is that I need to go from a city in SE Asia to KTM and AA breaks it up into two tix, one to HKG from any city, and another from HKG to KTM. Cathay has published fares for all of them, e.g. ex SIN, PHN, KUL, BKK, etc. and flying via HKG to KTM.

Leaving KTM on the way home is TATL on Etihad for one fare, 90k each ticket, and I had no problems with that one.

With respect to Vail, I do not know if there is one fare from there to HKG.
