Sorry I probably wasn't very clear. What I was trying to say was they can be used online but some organisations have started to refuse them as a payment option. Hotels etc of course are still OK to use. The UK prepaid MC can definitely be used anywhere that accepts them, including overseas. I can't comment on the others though and I'm guessing they will be subject to the usual currency charges etc if used.
Need to be clear as two types or these cards
a)Preloaded, purchased by A. N . OTHER as such unaccountable to an individual person and untraceable. As such Airlines will not accept them.
By default card company blocks from being used for Car-Hire as if accident damage hire, parking fines etc, company will be out of luck trying to get their monies.
b)Prepaid, where card is own name, proof of id required to signup, BUT no credit, you have to plae funds on the card to be able to spend on the card. These are allowed by airlines etc as have individual person accountability.
By default card company blocks from being used for Car-Hire, but will unblock for users with tracxk record of regularly topping up to substantial credit balances.
