Bluebird: paid the wrong Amex payee ($2k). Options?
Bonehead mistake...really kicking myself here.
Both my wife and I have an SPG Amex. We're both authorized users on each others card.
I'm (usually) extremely meticulous about payments and keeping our accounts separately.
Today, I paid $2k to my wife's card...the card she's authorized on my account. When in actuality I meant to pay my wife's primary card.
Wife's amex balance: $2k
Mine: $0
When this payment goes through....
Wife's amex balance: $2k
Mine: NEGATIVE $2k
I'm getting mixed messages from Amex. Yet to contact Bluebird.
I've heard everything (Depending on which CSR I get) from...we'll refund your bank the $2k, to...you can't use Bluebird to pay a cc bill...yada yada yada
I'll keep calling Bluebird/Amex, but in the meantime, has anyone ever mistakenly paid the wrong payee?
