You're all forgetting who's happy about these changes - those who fly irregularly with no airline loyalty who are now happy because they're earning A$ whereas before they earned no A$ on most of their cheap flights.

My biggest gripe is still the move to 16 different SP earn rates on a flight. The current system was so logical with 4 earn rates and I still don't understand why somebody looking a last minute BP flight should earn more than somebody booking a BP flight 3 months out. SP are about loyalty, it's totally logical to link A$ to ticket spend if you want to move to a system that rewards the amount you spend, but linking SP to that just doesn't make a lot of sense.
