Once in Shanghai I was at the airport early-ish and I got a call on my phone from CX saying that my flight would be delayed at least an hour (possibly longer) and all subsequent flights would be delayed. I was put onto the flight leaving straight away and was grateful for it. I checked the next day and all flights after mine didn't get out of PVG for a further three hours from dep time.
To confirm, they did move any DMs with no check in baggage to the flights that were leaving reasonably on time (255 and 237 in this case)
I don't normally check in luggage, but this time, I had to check in some golf clubs. So I had to wait for the 251. Otherwise, they were happy to move me to another flight. I saw other DMs being told to run for the earlier flights though.
