Moving away from TAM...

TAM just moved out of *A to OW and now I'm trying to decide where to go on oneworld.
The main problem with TAM is that their accrual rules are ridiculous (e.g. ANY segment flown within 24 hours is counted as one route in total, even if from different tickets.)
The initial idea was to stay with TAM since they kept a lot of alliances with *A airlines even after moving to OW, which would help me accrue more miles in a single place. However with the ridiculous accruing rules I'm thinking about a move to AA or BA.

Accruing more points.
(2) How many miles do you usually fly each year & in what class? How many flights/sectors?
Between 40 and 50k, always economy

Cheapest
(4) Can you choose your airlines and/or class of service? Do you travel for work and/or pleasure?
Yes. Mostly for pleasure, but also work occasionally.

Africa to Brazil and within the African continent

Mostly South African Airways and TAM
