I applied for Home Rebate visa in March 2013 with 3% back for 12 months and WF Rewards in Oct 2013 hoping to get 5% back for 6 months on that card to double dip. To my dismay, you only get one special offer per user, so if you already have a current special offer, and when you signup for a new card, you are ineligible for the new offer as only one valid offer per customer. I found this out the hard way. I plan to close my accounts once all the rewards have been redeemed.
