So let me get this straight...
UA is now downgrading EWR to a typical transcon market. That means a lackluster dinner on a (likely) IFE-less 739 with surly crew, classic high fares, and likely delayed flights.
Call me crazy, but flying a int'l 763 on DL on LAX-JFK in coach, with 25 dollar access to the LAX/JFK skyclubs with the AMEX card, and a buy up to economy comfort sounds better. At least this is what I chose over flying UA home for easter in a few weeks.
