First place I went to, I asked if they still take CC for VR, and she said "Of course, why wouldn't we?". I feigned surprise and said "But I thought it's cash only starting today". The cashier had no idea what I was talking about, so I showed her a copy of the email. She immediately canceled my transaction. Bummer!

I tried at another location, and didn't say anything. However, the cashier was prompted with "Is customer in front of you?" So she answered "No" because I was browsing the chewing gum section at the time, which was a little to the side. Strike out again!

Finally, I went to my final location and tried to check out but was told "Cash only for VR!". I stormed out of that Walgreens and will never go back.

And after all this, I'm still gumless.
