If you need to be at midtown for a conference or nearby work then stay there. Otherwise you should stay somewhere else; I will choose pretty much any other property that the New York Hilton (Midtown). The Conrad, Millenium, DT Times Square are all better choices. You might also consider the new HGI Central Park South and your wife could visit the park while you are working.
