The Devaluation Occurred Early
Last night, I was busy reviewing options to lock in some points travel before the devaluation was to occur, which I understood was for travel booked 3/31 or later. I was on the Southwest website at 10PM PDT (12AM CDT) when I saw the devaluation happen. I was on a page, changed to a different date, then changed back and saw all point requirements across the board had jumped 20%.
In retrospect, I'm sure what happened was that Southwest is headquartered in the Central time zone so that's when they flipped the switch. But that seems unfair to those of us out here on the Left Coast, as it was still 3/30 when I purchased my travel. Was there anywhere in writing where Southwest indicated the switch was to occur at 12AM *CDT*? And if not, does anyone have a suggestion for an A-List Preferred or Companion Pass-level dedicated email address where I can write to request an adjustment?
