My wife may have to wait for me to conclude my business, so I am wondering if the lounge at the Midtown property would be more convenient for her.
Thanks!
I would avoid the Midtown Hilton at all costs. It's, by far, the worst Hilton in Manhattan. The executive lounge isn't anything special. In a city like New York, I really don't see the value or luxury of it. There are probably at least a dozen wonderful food and drink options within a block of that hotel's doorstep. I wouldn't waste a second of my time or a penny of my money there. Surely, your wife can find places to hang out while you conduct your business. It's NYC! The reading room at the NYPL, Central Park, the dozens of museums, a walking tour, shopping, etc. are all many times more interesting than the executive lounge at a crappy Hilton.
I recently stayed the Hilton Times Square. It was a theatre trip, six shows in five days and the location was perfect for that. The hotel itself was just meh. I did, however, love the dining room where breakfast was served. Huge windows and lots of light were a great way to begin each day.
I don't like the location of the Conrad but I do agree it's a great hotel. If those are your two choices, I'd choose the Conrad every time.
