Other things you can quite easily do is to increase the number of qualifying flights on BA (four for gold is really quite low - they should raise to just below the number I take annually

), reduce TPs for US domestic F on two class services (make it equal to C for example), or indeed do like QF and reduce TPs earned on partner flights.
I don't think fee free redemption flight changes can be classified as a loophole like BAH-DOH.
I wasn't suggesting that fee free redemptions were the same but that being Gold doesn't make you a good customer.
BAH-DOH has now been replaced with xUP fares on AA so for a couple of days inconvenience on a stateside holiday with maybe £1500 going to BA and a couple of $'000 going to AA, that weekly EU commute now gives access to the BA Flounge.
