You mention that Las Brisas is under construction but still ate there, so that is why I'm wondering if you ate at the fine dining restaurant or the patio?
Las Brisas was undergoing renovations during our previous visit. Patio is the same as beach food. This was what we often ordered right around 5PM before they closed and had it delivered to our suite. I found that to be reasonable quality given that it was from a laminated menu.
Our dining experience indoors was terrible. Undercooked entrees, couldn't find a dessert menu for our son, had to ask for the menu 3 more times before finally just ordering something from our memory, forgot his dessert, forgot our appetizer, extremely slow service, had to ask for cheque 5 times before finally getting up and going to the hostess to ask for it. On top of that, the food was not good at all. The ceviche sampler almost made us swear off ceviches...
