I have reservations ( not award travel) on DL from PHX to OGG with a connection in LAX. The PHX-LAX portion was cancelled and they put me on a later flight with only an 11 minute connection for the LAX-OGG. When I call in, all they say they can offer is to get me there ~ 6-7 hours later with 2 connections.
I asked if they could put me on a codeshare flight through PDX and it would get me there 3-4 hours earlier than what they suggested, but the reservation agent and her supervisor told me that they could not book me on any codeshare flights. That doesn't sound correct to me but I thought that some of you may know the correct answer. I can find these flights and book them online.
I then asked if I can fly into LAX the night before and take the next flight to OGG the next morning but they told me that it wasn't allowed. Seems to me that I am getting the runaround. Also told me not to worry about the reservation now as it was probably going to change several times before the departure date.
