Do you have a source for this? International regulations for baggage handlers state that a maximum travel weight of 32 kg per bag applies, irrespective of travel class. This is also Lufthansa's policy and can be found on their website.
In fact, Business Class with Lufthansa has an allowance of up to 32 kg each bag as 'standard' allowed weight.
