Both hotels are really good I think. I prefer Ruijin due to better location I think, but that is of course very personal. At Ruijin I have stayed many nights, also as Ambassador only, and you can book Club room really cheap in advance, that'll give you a big suite. It has every time for me.
Just about now I was "chatting" with John O (Loyalty Lobby) on Foursquare, he got no benefits at all, despite being RA, at Ruijin today, because they claimed that China Dream-nights don't entitle you to any benefits, so he just cancelled his reservation there and then and booked the Grand Hyatt instead.

So I guess your milage may vary as always. But as I said, I've had a big (100+ sqm) suite every time at Ruijin.
Puxi is a more modern hotel. I was not really satisfied after my last visit and complained so they have upgraded my reservation and offered me a free buffet dinner for my night booked in April. I was very pleased with how they acted on my complaint and I do think that deserves to be "rewarded" by me as well, so I will try them out again. Their rooms are really good and the sound systems they have are the best I've had in a hotel room ever.
