What chance does DL have of enticing AA ORD flyers if they know their miles are worth 50% on DL? Plus they will earn less (unless they are buying J fares)

Assume $1000 RT in Coach = 5000 miles on DL and 8,000 miles on AA as a non elite - makes in this one case AA miles worth 3.73 times Delta sky Pesos

So it is impossible for DL to compete out of ORD
So they quit trying
