Good. Shake some of that wimpiness out of them. I've discovered East Coasters are the worst whiners when it comes to natural events and stuff. Based on the news, I used to think that things like weather/blizzards/etc. were actually really bad on the East Coast. Now I know better. (Although summers are intolerably humid--I'll grant them that.)
