Recently have people been able to churn the Exec card? I have had the Plat for a little over a year and am thinking of getting the 100k Exec offer. From what i read, if i apply for that card, all it will do is reset my timeline for another Plat card but otherwise it should work.

I was thinking that if i applied for a Plat card and applied for the exec 8 days later i could potentially get 140/150k AA miles but the only thing holding me back is if i would get rejected for the Plat offer (due to the reset time frame) , would that affect my chances of getting the Exec? Any thoughts.
