By the way, my wife is a nursing student, so she's a little "involved" in various things like travel advisories and all that good stuff. Anyhow, we ended up getting vaccinations for Hepatitis A (not a bad idea anyhow) and Typhoid for our upcoming trip to Papagayo. There is also increasing cases of Dengue Fever in Costa Rica, particularly in this particular region, so be sure to read up on it, wear insect repellent, drink from bottled water, be careful of street food vendors, etc.
