Location: YVR - Vancouver, with most winter weekends in Whistler.

It seems (from reading around here) that there are YVR based pilots and crew that come on for the second leg YVR-JFK-YVR.

Doesn't explain the double catering or repeat menu offerings however.

Even if access was granted to the main terminal in YVR, there is not a lot open during the hours of when CX 888/889 pass through the airport.
