I heard the flight crew made this PA a few times before.

"Please do not place your coat or jacket flat in the overhead bins but on top of your luggage instead. Besides, some other passengers will place their luggage on top of your coats and jackets anyways if you don't. And wrinkle coats and jackets is NOT the hottest thing on the fashion runway in Paris."
