Perhaps I did! Upgrade confirmed in 2.5 hours.

This is like Priceline bidding... you don't want to leave too much money on the table. A guidance gauge that goes from $0 to $500 and is colored angry, no-go red from $0 to $225 or so prompts bids in the $250 range.

I should have tried $100 or $125. I presume there are no rebids in this game.

My only prior relevant experience with non-elite upgrade offers on AA was a $90 offer, accepted, at the airport kiosk on AUS-ORD on a light-load Saturday morning flight. A while ago, pre-Plusgrade.

I hope and trust I have not taken an EXP's seat. This isn't UA... yet.
