If I am booking/staying at a Marriott room thru rewards, but the actual reward points are someone elses (can't seem to change name on reservation), will I be ok?

Basically we are being gifted a 1 night stay at a hotel by a family member, and want to make sure there wont be an issue at checkin, since the actual member wont be there and his name will be on the reservation. (If it helps, the last name of the member matches someone staying in the room with me)
