Domestic data point: I am AS MVP, AAdvantage account unused. I am flying SEA-ORD Monday on an N fare booked four days out. Economy seatmap at booking looked wide open (though I know that's meaningless). I got a Plusgrade invite overnight with a $0-$500 range-gauge graphic. I bid $200 and will let you know what happens. I am supposed to be notified "a couple of days" before flight, which means tomorrow.
