You do know this is different as by definition NYCYYZ touches the USA, while this does not.
The fact that you are a US citizen does not imply that USA is the jurisdiction.
(also buying it exCanada and paying GST would actually have been cheaper as the fares were priced the same in CAD and USD with CAD being 10% or so less than USD at time of booking.)
I understand the DOT regs don't cover this fare and that is why QR can cancel/modify/refund these tickets. They are using a technicality to circumvent the spirit of the regulations. I'm going to point that out. I'm sure back in Doha they don't hear about mistake fares and airlines honoring them. I just hope this judge is familiar with that and would expect her ticket to be honored. I'm going to point out all the similar fares that were honored by US airlines and how QR is screwing me because they can!
Wow. I didn't know the AA ticket was even cheaper ex Canada. It was a good deal anyway.
I'm not basing jurisdiction on my citizenship but on the fact that QR conducts business here in New York and I purchased my ticket and live in New York.
