The coat holders then got up and placed their coats in front or on top or the smaller bags in the bins. Everyone was accommodated.
Has anyone else seen this? The jackets filling the bins is sort of a pet peeve of mine. It is my pet peeve, I feed it and I rub it behind its ear, so it stays around.
Yesterday morning, I boarded a flight towards the end of the process. So, I'm not aware if there was a FA announcement or not. The flight was pretty much full.
When a FA tried to close an overhead bin across the aisle from me, she realized a roll aboard was too long to fit with its wheels out, so she just pushed all the suit coats and jackets down into a wad, turned the bag sideways and closed the bin. As soon as she moved on, a business guy leaped up, opened the bin and (shaking his head) grabbed his suit coat. He refolded it and put it on top of his bag (the one the FA had turned sideways).
Bin hog!
