You are spot on. When I applied for my 1st Barclay card (US Air) instant approved. When I applied for a 2nd Barclay card (NFL) about 2 months later I had to call in. The only question asked was why did I have 10 new cc accounts during the past year - only 2 cc apps showing on my Transunion credit report which is the only bureau they pulled from for my apps (which was these two cards).
