I note that the press release does not say EZY will be moving to the North Terminal or give any indication that consolidation in a single terminal is part of the seven year agreement. Am I missing something?
I would speculate that if consolidation in the North Terminal is covered by the new agreement, it is subject to Gatwick reaching agreement with the existing occupants of the North Terminal, the largest of which other than EZY is BA.
If I were a potentially displaced airline, I wouldn't want to hand a business advantage to a competitor. I would certainly want some sweeteners in terms of my charges and something for the inconvenience like new check in areas, a new lounge complex etc. I certainly wouldn't want to be worse off. Long walks down ageing corridors anyone? Does the South terminal have Premium Gatwick fast track security?
