Anyone see any issues with this? I should be able to cover the required spending (hopefully for 2 Citi AA cards
) In a month, my spouse will AOR for the same cards.
I was thinking of getting Amex SPG, but looks like they usually have a better bonus in the summers and with their new changes to bonuses I think I'll wait till then.
Anything else I should look at or that I should change?

If you are attached to the idea of getting the Club Carlson you may want to freeze the two minor reports they check. They seem to be an issue for people, even with excellent credit. I rolled the dice today, I'll report back when I find out.
Two Chase in one day will require a call, I'm pretty sure that is always the case, but approval was quick and easy when I opened two in Feb. Whichever you apply for second will be the one you need to call in for. I did the personal second because I knew I could mention my long term relationship and split a line if needed. I didn't have another buisness card, so no line to split and no prior buisness relationship.
With the new Amex policy about to take effect there are two lines of thinking. Apply now because they may start verifying more and disqualifying people who already have any card (new customer bonus may not apply to current card members is currently easy to circumvent). Wait because the bonus offers may go up with new policy, or like you pointed out, summer offer. I hedged my bet, opened card now for spouse and am waiting for myself.
