Things may have changed over the past 2 years, but I would respectfully disagree with that. I lived in Mira Loma for 7 years while working in Anaheim and then LA. Holidays (inc. Labor Day, Memorial Day, President's Day, etc.) were some of the few days a year I didn't mind driving the 10 or 60. Going the other way... yeah, don't even think about it. The traffic coming from Palm Springs/AZ/Vegas on the last day of a 3-day weekend will kill you. People won't be going into LA for that weekend and most of the traffic is generally on the 55/91/15 with the crowd that went to SD/the beach.
