How is the lounge at Athens?

Hey

I will be flying from Cyprus (LCA) to Athens in 10 days time to stay with a friend for a few days. I am then flying to Newcastle via Heathrow with my friend and was wondering what the lounge is like. Our flight is at 8.15 so we'd be there pretty early - would it even be open?

I have been through Athens a few times but never in the BA lounge but thinking it might be worth popping in and guesting my friend in to grab a drink or whatever kind of breakfast stuff they may be serving.

Also, does anyone know what might be served on the plane? I usually go CE but we are going economy - last time it was like a salad, then some chicken dish and greek yoghurt with fruit (I think) - but surely they wouldn't be serving things like that so early in the day?

Thanks!
James
