Airports with the highest number of nonstop domestic flights
I currently live in the DC area and travel for a living. I fly in and out of DCA because it's incredibly convenient and has a decent number of non-stop flights (especially considering the size).
I recently took a job where I can live anywhere in the country because I travel each week. Given the COL in the DC Metro, I'm interested in moving somewhere where my dollar goes further.
Obviously, a major factor in where I live is the ease of travel. Having to hop and skip from a commuter airport to a hub just makes my days and weeks longer, so I'd like to move somewhere close to a hub that offers a huge amount of non-stop routes to most american cities.
Does anyone have a list they can point me to that details the top non-stop airport hubs around? Off the top of my head, Charlotte sounds like a good bet considering it's sort of central location on the east coast and the sheer amount of flights routed to it.
Anyone make a similar living decision and want to share the results with me?
Thanks!
