This has been a problem for years, but can usually be a consequence of:
- The award you saw has been snapped up by someone else.
- There's a lag between availability showing up on the web and their internal systems, meaning again that it's gone.
- Some folk have suggested that merely searching and finding a reward on the web 'locks' it out for a while to other viewers as the database doesn't refresh quickly when you navigate away - so try again.
Of course, having the ability to upgrade with miles on the web in the 21st century like most other airlines would be good !

In this case the website as searched above has shown UC availability consistently for the past month. I guess I'll have to call every time I want to check?
