Between the points it'll cost and the fact that you'll already be on Amtrak, I agree that BUR is probably your best option. While I've never seen the security line get terribly long in Terminal B, from which United operates, the security line at Terminal A, from which Southwest operates, can get dicey. That said, I still think that 1.5 hours will be enough at BUR.
