Yeah, I really need to do that to be fair. My only hesitation is that a Marriott at Palm Beach told me on the phone what a great water view my room would have and when my family arrived and checked in, a room on the back of the tower overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and the mainland ... and not the Atlantic Ocean for which we had driven four hours from Orlando ... was not the water view I had in mind. After a lot of getting the runaround I called Marriott and they agreed to cancel the reservation with no penalty and we walked out. I'm not hard to please and very understanding in most instances but I wasn't going to pay top dollar for that kind of room. First time in my life I ever walked out (not stormed out) of a hotel. The main Marriott folks were far more understanding than the folks at the check-in desk. I understand not everyone can have a great deal, but offering a room that does not overlook the ocean when you bill yourself as an ocean property is just kinda strange.

I'll contact the Marco Island property to see what they say. Thanks
