Does anyone else think it is odd they are removing the baggage fee waiver, but not the upgrades? I know it is rare to get an upgrade, (I was maybe 5 for 80 segments last year).

I guess from a pure cost perspective, they can easily collect the cost of bags every single time from those who check them while the upgrades are so rare it has no cost impact?

Delta Elite has a better chance of upgrade on Alaska, which still has some form of cost to Alaska...
