There is nothing new about asking people or companies to sponsor travel. As far as I can see, all this is is a company who plan to make money off those looking for a sponsor.

I don't see anything saying they do anything about finding you sponsors. That appears to be up to you still unless some sponsor goes looking for an appropriate trip to sponsor. So the question is how many of those are likely to sign up to this website. I would wonder if Trevolta is even trying to get sponsors to sign up or just hoping you will bring them in for them.
So basically, it gives you a place to send sponsors to to make a donation from which Trevolta will take a percentage of the donations. Where is the advantage in that? I'm having a hard time seeing any real advantage to you the person planning some trip and looking for sponsors.
If you plan to say bicycle the length of S. America and want a company to donate a bicycle and money, you still have to write a letter to a company like Cannondale to ask for sponsorship.
In that regard, here is what my example (Cannondale) has to say about sponsorship on their website: "If you are participating in a cycling expedition... As a rule, we no longer sponsor cycling expeditions. We have sponsored numerous expeditions in the past, including trips that have circumnavigated the world and covered the length of the African continent. Without exception, whatever press coverage resulted from these expeditions focused exclusively - as it should - on the expedition's participants and their experiences and adventures. Because little (if any) mention is ever made of the equipment used on expeditions, we have decided that expedition sponsorship is not an effective tool for promoting Cannondale or our products."
I think the same can be said of many companies. Sponsoring 'expeditions' has kind of run its course. I don't see this website (Trevolta) changing their minds even if they plan to try and there is no indication that they do plan to try.
So bottom line, it's not a new idea, just a new website. If it were on 'Dragon's Den', I wouldn't fund it.
