A few days ago Mrs J while checking in was told that bags should not be locked as they may open the bags.

She is a bag locker through experience at certain African and South American airports but really she just doesn't leave anything of value in the checked bags.

Flying from TLV she usually just closes the bag with plastic ties which she also did on this occasion and which were not cut when she picked up her bag at her arrival airport.

She of course continues to receive the 'special' treatment for hand baggage check but mentioned that the change to no longer checking her check-in luggage at security is a better experience.
