That's a new one for me. Wife just completed the spending on one of her CC's but the 50,000+ points were put into my RR account.
I suppose it's possible for me to have fat fingered her account and put mine when I filled out her application but surprised they don't check that the Chase account and RR account don't or do matchup.
Seems like a backdoor way of getting companion if only one card is approved per person. This normal??
Exact same thing happened here. My spouse applied, but I get the points. I also don't know how it happened!
When the 50,000 bonus points didn't show up, I called and the RR rep asked me to check to see if the card with my name had a little "RR" in the bottom left hand corner. Sure enough it did. The rep said the points were credited into my RR account (which I hadn't even checked) and any future points would go into my RR account. I'm not the card holder, only an authorized user. Really doesn't matter to us which RR account they go into, since we can both use them.
