It is roughly equivalent to the 25-50k tier of other programs in terms of average spend to get there. How many free upgrades do you get as an AA Gold? Or a DL Silver? And which is a better value?
The international redemption partners bit is certainly lacking and is my main gripe with the program. But that's not related to elite status or not.
It's not a bad program, it's just not worth the $5000 you need to spend on B6 flights to get it. It's more of an equivalent of AA Gold or DL FO than Plat or GM... and I get upgraded as a GM more than half the time. As FO last year, more than 1/3 of the time. At the very, very least, mosaic members should get complimentary even more space seats at check in if available
